Strange but Science publishes short educational science videos on Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and YouTube. This policy explains what data we handle and why.

Visitors to this website

This website does not use cookies, analytics, advertising trackers or contact forms. Our hosting provider may keep standard technical server logs (such as IP address and time of request) for security and reliability, for a limited time.

Our publishing tool

We use a private tool (the "SbS Autopost" app) to upload our own videos to our own accounts on Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and YouTube, and to read view statistics for those videos. The tool is used only by the owner of Strange but Science.

• Through the platforms' official APIs, the tool receives access tokens and basic account information (account name and ID) for our own accounts, and statistics for videos we published.
• This data is used only to publish our videos and to measure their performance. It is stored on our own server, is not sold or shared with third parties, and is not used for advertising.
• The tool does not collect data about other users, viewers or followers.
• Access can be revoked at any time in the settings of each platform; access tokens are deleted from our server when the connection is removed.

Social media

When you interact with our profiles on Instagram, Facebook, TikTok or YouTube, your data is processed by those platforms under their own privacy policies.

Your rights

If you are in the European Union, you have the right to access, correct or delete personal data concerning you and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (in Poland: the President of the Personal Data Protection Office, UODO). To make a request, contact us at the address below.
